Recently the Dallas Buyers Club star Matthew McConaughey attended a podcast called Literally with Rob Lowe where he talked with host Rob Lowe. In this interview session, he talked about the juicy details of his recently released book Greenlights.

Along with other life experiences, Matthew shared what happened during his “Titanic” audition. He said, “So I went and read with Kate Winslet and it was not one of the auditions—they filmed it so it was like into screen test time.”

Then he added. “After we left, you know, it was one of those where they, like, followed me, and on when we got outside, they were like, ‘That went great.’ I mean, kind of like hugs. I thought it was going to happen.”

At first, Matthew wasn’t offered the role, and ultimately. Rather he turned down the opportunity. He explained, “For a while, I was saying like, ‘Who was my—I gotta find that agent. They’re in trouble…I did not ever get the offer.”

After a big project like Titanic sailed away, the star gained breakout roles in “Magic Mike” as Dallas and “Wolf of Wall Street” as Mark Hanna.
